To meet the evolving needs of businesses, large factories and logistics companies now utilize forklifts for handling and stacking goods. One forklift can replace the manual labor of 6-15 loading and unloading workers, reducing labor intensity, shortening operation time, and accelerating material turnover. Forklifts play a crucial role in enterprise logistics and transportation systems.
The use of forklifts is essential for ensuring safe production, preventing accidents during handling, improving work efficiency, and completing tasks more safely and quickly. It also guarantees personnel safety and product quality. This training session was conducted for the transportation team on forklift operation methods and precautions, and all participants actively participated.
1. Before driving the forklift, check that the start-up, audible signals, battery circuit, steering, braking performance, forks, and tires are all in good working order.
2. When starting the forklift with a load, the driver should first confirm that the load is stable and reliable. Start slowly and smoothly, avoiding sudden acceleration. Driving and lifting should not be performed simultaneously. 3. The forklift's bottom should be 300-400 mm above the ground, with the mast tilted back.
4. While the forklift is moving, do not change the direction by operating the direction switch, as this may damage electrical components and gears.
5. During operation, be alert, observant, and hands-on, paying attention to all directions and situations.
6. Within the factory premises, the forklift's speed should be below 5 km/h; within the workshop, it should be below 3 km/h. When transferring materials, ensure that loose items on pallets are properly packed before transfer. When removing materials from the forks, the speed should be slow and steady. The load height should not obstruct the driver's view. If items obstruct the driver's view, reverse at a low speed. Report any problems promptly and do not operate the forklift recklessly.
7. When operating the forklift, adjust the fork spacing according to the size of the load to ensure even distribution between the forks, preventing uneven loading and tilting, and ensuring smooth operation.
8. If forklifts are used for loading and unloading at night, someone must be present to assist and direct the operation for safety reasons, so as to avoid damaging the materials and packaging.
