Classification Of Scissor Lifts

Mar 01, 2026

Scissor lifts are categorized into the following types: fixed scissor lifts, mobile scissor lifts, self-propelled scissor lifts, vehicle-mounted scissor lifts, manually towed scissor lifts, and dedicated cargo scissor lifts.

Fixed Scissor Lifts
These are specialized hydraulic lifting systems designed for transporting goods between different floor levels within buildings. They are primarily utilized for moving cargo up and down between various working levels, as well as for lifting vehicles between floors in multi-story and underground parking garages. The hydraulic system is equipped with safety devices to prevent falls and guard against overloading. Operating buttons can be installed on every floor and on the work platform itself, enabling multi-point control. Featuring a robust structure, high load-bearing capacity, and smooth lifting operation, these units are simple and convenient to install and maintain. They serve as an economical, practical, and ideal alternative to traditional elevators for transporting goods between low-rise floors. By selecting specific optional configurations based on the installation environment and operational requirements, users can achieve optimal performance results.

Self-Propelled Scissor Lifts
These units are capable of traveling at both high and low speeds while operating at various heights. The work platform allows for convenient, continuous operation-including raising, lowering, moving forward, reversing, and steering-directly from the elevated position. The structure is constructed from high-quality structural steel, utilizing a laser-welded, robotic-arm process that achieves single-sided welding with double-sided formation. The hydraulic system features either an original Italian-imported pump station or a joint-venture pump station from Anshan, incorporating aerospace-grade cartridge valve technology. The platform is equipped with various safety devices and alarms-including a leveling alarm, balance valves, and automatic safety plates-ensuring a safe, reliable, and durable operation. With a maximum working height of up to 12 meters and a load capacity of 300 kilograms, the platform features an extendable horizontal guardrail that significantly expands the working range. The entire machine comes with a one-year warranty, while key components are covered by a five-year warranty. These units are ideally suited for clients requiring aerial work capabilities in environments such as factory workshops, public squares, lobbies, airports, and industrial parks.

Vehicle-Mounted Scissor Lifts
These units combine the mobility of four-wheel travel with the versatility of two-wheel towing. They utilize the chassis of a truck, motorized tricycle, or battery-powered vehicle as the base frame for the lifting platform. Powered by either the vehicle's own engine or a DC electric motor, the unit is capable of both driving itself and powering the platform's lifting mechanism. These lifts are widely employed for aerial work tasks across various sectors, including urban construction, oil fields, transportation, municipal services, and industrial facilities.

Towable Aerial Work Platform
Utilizing an external vehicle for towing, this platform is powered by either a three-phase electrical supply or a diesel engine. It offers convenient and rapid mobility, making it ideal for long-distance operations. Its primary application lies in high-altitude field work across sectors such as petroleum, electric power, urban construction, and telecommunications.
